Black Sustainability, Inc. Brings Trivia Night to Atlanta's Climate Week!

ATLANTA, GA — Black Sustainability, Inc. (BSI) will kick off its 11th Annual Black Sustainability Summit with a night of trivia, games, and community as part of the inaugural Atlanta Climate Week, running October 10-15, 2026.
The Atlanta Climate Week Trivia Night, hosted by BSI, takes place Saturday, October 10 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at The Murph, located at 561 W Whitehall St SW in Atlanta. The event serves as the opening night celebration for BSS 2026, whose theme this year, Sankofa Summit Mixer: A Look in the Past, to Propel Us for the Future, invites attendees to reflect on where the movement has come from while looking ahead to what's next.

Atlanta Joins the Global Climate Week Network
This year marks Atlanta's participation in the Climate Week Network, a global coalition of more than 30 climate weeks held in cities around the world. Atlanta Climate Week is backed by the City of Atlanta's Mayor's Office of Sustainability and Resilience, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Climatebase, and other regional partners, bringing a full week of speakers, action days, panels, and community activations to the city for the first time.
"Atlanta is one of the most dynamic climate and clean-energy hubs in the country, with a community of founders, organizers, and advocates who are already doing the work," said Jesse Hynes, co-founder of Climatebase and a lead organizer of the Climate Week Network, in announcing Atlanta's inclusion. "Bringing Atlanta into the Network means connecting that local momentum to a global movement."
Michael Hawthorne Jr., Head of Planning for Atlanta Climate Week, echoed that sentiment: "Atlanta has always been home to movements that changed the world. We're excited to partner with Climate Week Network to bring Atlanta's first Climate Week to life and harness that same spirit of leadership, innovation, and collective action."
The week's programming spans October 10 through 15 and includes a Beltline in Motion Community Action Day, an Innovation Day on October 12, and a Powering Georgia policy panel on October 13, among other events across the city. A full schedule is available at atlantacw.org.
Trivia With a Purpose
BSI's Trivia Night is positioned as both a welcome mat and a kickoff, an accessible, low-pressure way for newcomers to step into the Black Sustainability Network while longtime members reconnect ahead of the Summit's programming later in the year. Attendees can expect trivia rounds, prizes, and a room full of sustainability practitioners, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts from across the Black diaspora.
The event reflects BSI's broader mission: mobilizing sustainability practitioners of African descent to rebuild sustainable communities and economies. With over 2,400 members across North America, South America, Africa, Europe, and Australia, BSI has used moments like this to turn networking into genuine community-building, long before the trivia buzzers ever go off.
