BSI Highlights from the SEEJ Summit and WERiSE Workshop

This past Saturday was a fantastic experience for our team. We were honored to participate in the 4th Annual Southeast Environmental Justice Summit held at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta.

It was a privilege to co-host the WERiSE Workshop as a featured part of this year's summit. The workshop focused heavily on the power of community led solutions for environmental justice. During the session, critical topics like home weatherization, showing how energy efficiency directly creates healthier, more affordable housing. A massive piece of our time together was dedicated to hands on training right there on site. Attendees got direct, practical experience with weatherization techniques, making the transition from theory to real world action.

Beyond the workshop, we also spent time at our table sharing information about Black Sustainability Inc and the deep work we are doing in the city of Atlanta and beyond. We loved meeting so many people and discussing the real ways we can support sustainable growth.

Getting to connect with so many community leaders, advocates, and partners was a major highlight for us. We are already looking forward to how we can continue these conversations and keep building a more sustainable INTENTIONAL future together!
